Riley, You were the greatest humanitarian in the form of a horse. Not just any horse, a horse that taught me that riding is not the only thing important in a relationship between human and horse. When we brought you from Ohio I know I knew nothing about caring for or by a horse, and would learn alot, but got more than I bargained for. Learning to move as one, feeling your breathe,looking at your eye, the swish of your tail when you wanted me to know you understood me and I did you, as you looked right through me. To see your acknowledgement of me as I just wanted acknowledgment from you and got it! The way you looked to me when I lunged you. Watching you buck and cantor and gallop was freeing for me. Feeding was another story, ears laying flat back cause you were very possessive over your food. Listening to you drink from your water bucket. You emptying it as fast as I could fill it. Peeing in your stall as much as 2 horses would. My children, connected with you as well. Justin sitting upon you under the walnut tree as the sun rays shined down upon him and you. The leaves gently rubbing his forehead which aloud Justin to settle his nerves about being so high up on you. You stood ever so still knowing the precious cargo you had on your back. Dillon, loved to feed you, groom you and you calmed him when he sat upon you before his major surgery for his bone graph. Its like you knew how important it was to be gentle. You knew how important your life was to my family!That I thank you for. Ethan also enjoyed your company for he talked often about someday having a horse in his life like you that he could call his own. I will miss you my friend! I have over the last week drempt of you. I know you were reaching out to me. Trying once again to ease my sadness and stress for you. You went above and beyond spiritually what most will never know how a horse can connect on so many levels with humans. I LOVE YOU AND MAY YOU RIDE WITHOUT ANY LIMITS!
