2000
The founder gave up
'life as she knew it', to fully commit all her energy and resources to
create an -anization. We were in need of financial and volunteer
support, to keep the momentum of growth, that we were experiencing.
This came in small increments, not enough to sustain the operating
program. We struggled to find volunteers interested in creating the
program, not just reaping the benefits of it. We were still being
offered options to either work for other programs (that did not have the
same discipline) --or to divide our own interests, only to compromise our values
or Program Integrity. We decided to trust in God --in absolute
faith. We started to document our program in workbook form, and wait-until
the right opportunity presented itself, with and by God's direction.
1997-1999
We received Medical Assistance Provider 50
approval, terminated 30 days later, for lack of a proper Program Description (more paper-work).
We learned how agencies operate, within the system. (January 1,
1997) We became an IRS recognized, non-profit (--) -anization,
for riding for the challenged, similar to NAHRA, a National
-anization for the physically challenged. We branched out
working in Mental Health about the same time as NAHRA's newly
formed EFMHA -Equine Facilitated Mental Health Association. Now
we are no longer alone! (1997).
1993-1996
We were recognized
as a Mental Health or Therapeutic Alternative ('96). We
studied and learned about how what we do is truly Stress Reduction
('95). We learned through providing Recreational Therapy
('94). Our Holistic Riding Center --that was formed ('93).
