              Fresh Start --Class Two

We listen to the wishes and dreams of our clients who may have

always dreamed of riding horses --to find what they have wished for.  Then we tell thenm the truth!

Learning to get help mounting is not always an easy task.  Do it well, and lifting works well, if not it's a struggle for both leftee and the lifted. You must both learn to get it right.  Body weight and the rider's physical structure affect ease or the lifting struggles. So sometimes a high mounting block is needed if someone is on the other side of horse to keep the horse still, so not to walk away while you attempt to mount.

Nervous tension can be a bit uncomfortable when you are on a horse for the first time.  Not knowing anything can be frightening, and the fears can set in.  PLUS --we can often see body rigidness as well! She is almost brittle!

Fear can be very tough to deal with --especially if you are afraid of heights, like this young woman, who came to get help being so afraid of the horse as well. Obviously, her fears have held her back from really enjoying life to the fullest.  We will see how this goes, as we go on with the classes.

It's time now to find out all about our own bodies, as well as being on the horse.  We must first learn what could happen --if this or that. so we have these disacussions for you will be aware --before they happen --to prevent an incident.  Learn FIRST!     Experience being on a horse --with some education,

not like being as a brick on a log.
